Fluffy Homemade Waffles with Kefalos Goodness

Golden and crisp on the outside, soft and fluffy on the inside – these homemade waffles are the perfect treat for breakfast, brunch, or dessert. With a few everyday ingredients and the goodness of Kefalos, they’re simple to make and even better to eat.

Ingredients

  • 250 g all-purpose flour
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 2 large eggs
  • 430 ml Kefalos Full Cream Milk
  • 125 g Kefalos Unsalted Butter, melted or Kefalos Ghee
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla essence
  • Optional: 125 ml Kefalos Plain Yoghurt (for extra fluffiness – replace part of the milk)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your waffle maker.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder and salt.
  3. In another bowl, beat the eggs, then add the milk, melted butter and vanilla.
  4. Combine the wet and dry ingredients, stirring gently until just mixed. A few lumps are fine – don’t overmix.
  5. Lightly grease your waffle maker, pour in the batter, and cook until golden and crisp.
  6. Serve immediately with your chosen toppings.

No Waffle Maker? No Problem!

Waffle Hack: Use a Sandwich Press or Grill Pan

If you don’t own a waffle pan, use a sandwich press or griddle pan instead. Grease it well, pour a small amount of batter onto the hot surface, and cook until golden on both sides. You won’t get the classic waffle pattern, but the result will be just as delicious.
