Ingredients

For the apple filling:

  • 4 large apples (Granny Smith or Golden Delicious), peeled and sliced
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice

For the crumble topping:

  • 1 cup flour
  • ½ cup rolled oats
  • ½ cup brown sugar
  • ½ cup cold butter, cubed
  • ½ tsp ground cinnamon
  • Pinch of salt

To serve:

  • Generous scoops of Kefalos or Cortina Vanilla Ice Cream

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 180°C.
  2. In a large bowl, toss the apple slices with brown sugar, cinnamon, and lemon juice. Spread evenly in a greased baking dish.
  3. In another bowl, mix flour, oats, sugar, cinnamon, and salt. Add the butter and rub it in with your fingertips until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  4. Sprinkle the crumble topping over the apples.
