  • 1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 cup strong brewed coffee, cooled to room temperature
  • 1/4 cup KEFALOS Natural Yoghurt
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

For the Coffee Glaze:

  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2-3 tablespoons strong brewed coffee, cooled to room temperature



  1. Preheat your oven to 175°C. Grease and flour a 23cm round cake pan.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Beat in the eggs, one at a time, until well combined.
  4. Stir in the brewed coffee and KEFALOS Natural Yoghurt until smooth.
  5. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  6. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined. Do not overmix.
  7. Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan and spread it out evenly.
  8. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the centre comes out clean.
  9. Allow the cake to cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer it to a wire rack to cool completely.
  10. Once the cake has cooled, prepare the coffee glaze by whisking together the powdered sugar and brewed coffee until smooth.
  11. Drizzle the glaze over the cooled cake.
