Creamy Garlic and Kefalotiri Chicken

Autumn is in the air and while the evenings are getting cooler and darker, the fragrance of garlic and chicken on the stove will make being indoors a cosy place of comfort and togetherness. This single pan chicken dish is a winner for weekday evenings.

  • 4 medium-sized skinless chicken breasts
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons LURPAK butter or olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 cup Kefalos fresh cream
  • 1/2 cup KEFALOS kefalotiri cheese, grated
  • 1 tablespoon fresh or dried oregano
  • 1 cup chopped spinach (optional) or 1/2 cup of pitted black olives (optional)


  1. Using a large pan, heat the butter over medium-high heat
  2. Sear the chicken breasts for 4 to 5 minutes on each side, until golden brown and cooked through. Season to taste and remove from the pan.
  3. Reduce the heat to low-medium and add the garlic, stirring for 30 seconds.
  4. Add the cream, oregano, and kefalotiri cheese, continuously stirring until combined.
  5. If you wish to add spinach or olives, do so now and let it simmer at low heat for 2 minutes.
  6. Add the seared chicken to the sauce in the pan and simmer for approximately 1 minute, just to warm up the chicken and immerse it in the sauce.
  7. Serve the creamy garlic chicken on a bed of rice or pasta or with a side of vegetables. Enjoy
