6 Ways To Dress Up Plain Jacket Potatoes

The good old faithful jacket potato should never be underrated. Very easy to prepare (five to seven minutes per potato in the microwave), it is a delicious crowd-pleaser and ranks high when it comes to wholesome comfort food. Here we share our six favourite fillings to elevate the humble potato to acclaim:

  1. Cheddar treat: KEFALOS grated cheddar cheese with fried bacon bits and chopped onion.
  2. Greek inspiration: Mix crumbed KEFALOS Greek style feta with KEFALOS Greek style yoghurt and dill. This is a delicious dressing served cold on a warm potato.
  3. Italian flavours: Top the potato with grated KEFALOS mozzarella, ripe cocktail or rosa tomatoes and fresh basil or basil pesto. Place in the oven until the cheese is melted.
  4. Bolognaise: Fry some onion and seasoned mince in olive oil until brown. Stir in tomato paste with a dash of sugar and add a little water or stock for the bolognaise to reach your preferred consistency. Spoon the bolognaise over the baked potato and top with some finely grated KEFALOS kefalotiri cheese.
  5. Tropical: Top the potato with two slices of KEFALOS Lazy Daizy processed cheese, a slice of ham, a dash of sweet mustard, and a ring or pieces of canned pineapple.
